Photography trained my eye for composition and what to leave out; video editing taught me that pacing and structure shape how people absorb information; and healthcare leadership gave me a front-row seat to the human cost of systems that don't work. Each step brought me closer UX.
I grew up in Portugal and have been living in the UK for 12 years, now settled in Bristol. I work at NHS Wales, where I've spent several years managing and improving a digital platform, working closely with users, navigating competing stakeholder needs, and turning complicated requirements into experiences that actually make sense to real people.
When I'm not thinking about user journeys, I’m:
- 🥾 out on a hillside, reflecting and recharging on a long hike
- 📚 reading – usually about books that imagine different worlds or try to make sense of this one
- 🇵🇹 enjoying Portuguese food and music
- ✈️ planning my next trip somewhere
